Museum People

Museum people is a on going project exploring the use of gender stereotypes used in museums to reflect the the perceived notions of the caricatures of the persons who represent the history that is being portrayed. Museums in an effort to be politically correct representing all of mankind, are moving to using figures in their displays that lack all features of sex and ethnicity, We are left with, in some cases just gray mannequins. While this might be argued that this is a better solution , it surely removes the hint of humor that we get when we see the attempts at trying to create the illusion of humanity.

Museum People, is available as self published book through "Blurb" the on line book publishers. The book is updated periodically with additional images.
